Well decided to throw the rest of the beef bacon on the Traeger Grill today. Cooking this bacon on the grill is so much easier. You don’t have to keep a watchful eye on the process as standing over a cast iron skillet or keep peeking in the oven with a timer set. Just have the grill come up to temp, throw the bacon on and sit back and light a cigar. It is called smoking. Clean up is much easier. No bacon grease on the kitchen floor.
The pre-cooking weight of this was about 3 1/2 pounds. Left me with a lot of bacon to munch on. Will probably last a few days. I ate several pieces and put the rest in the refrigerator. Pulling a few pieces out later it was reminiscent of eating beef jerky, Not as tough but just blah. Might be better to mariante this in teriyaki or an indian curry. This trail with beef bacon is over. I won’t buy it again. Pork is the KING of bacon.
